Jawbone’s Newest Bluetooth Headset, the ICON
Jawbone has a new Bluetooth headset, the ICON. It’s the smallest model they make and has the newest version of their excellent noise cancelling technology, NoiseAssassin 2.5. It even has the ability to change the voice of the voice prompts.
Jawbone Talks to You
Custom ICON audio tones whisper important information like remaining battery life and caller ID into your ear.
MyTALK Brings ICON to Life
Introducing our most significant innovation since NoiseAssassin®. You can now dynamically update and personalize each individual Jawbone ICON with an array of convenient apps. Learn more about MyTALK.
Connect to Multiple Phones
Simultaneous Multipoint means that your Jawbone ICON can manage two calls from two different phones at the same time. For example, you can be on a call with your personal phone and then answer a call on your work phone and seamlessly switch between each call. Jawbone ICON handles the experience with the simplicity of traditional call-waiting.
The Most Lethal NoiseAssassin®
Originally developed for military use in tanks and helicopters, NoiseAssassin 2.5 with wind reduction is a proprietary technology that eliminates background noise from mobile phone conversations. Jawbone ICON is the only Bluetooth headset with a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) that actually feels your speech, which helps Jawbone ICON distinguish your voice from background noise. Jawbone ICON’s NoiseAssassin has even better – background noise elimination than its predecessor Jawbone 2, CNET’s Highest Rated Headset ever. So take that call with confidence no matter where you are.
Innovative Wind Reduction Technology
Be free to keep your conversation going while walking down a gusty street because our team of scientists developed a unique Digital Sensor Signal Fusion system to reduce wind noise. ICON uses an algorithm that digitally fuses together the best audio from its two electret microphones and its patented Voice Activity Sensor to create a single, natural sounding speech signal.
I saw this the other day at BestBuy and definitely will have to check one out.
[Jan 28, 2010]: Picked one up yesterday and it works great. I got the Hero version from BestBuy and was pleased that it had a pleasant female voice prompt instead of the deep male voice indicated for the Hero model at the Jawbone site. I signed up for the MyTALK beta and haven’t received access yet; I can wait since the stock voicing is just fine.
